Dwight Howard On Kobe: We’re Not Best Friends
Dwight Howard and Kobe Bryant have been Lakers teammates for almost one full season, but they’ve been through enough melodrama to last a few years.
Howard and Bryant have finally started to click, which has now led to the Lakers as a unit being on the same page. Howard though doesn’t want everyone to get to far ahead of themselves.
Howard appeared on with Dan LeBatard of 790 The Ticket Wednesday, and stated that he and Bryant “aren’t best friends, but they understand each other.”
We’re not best friends but I would say that we understand where we’re at,” Howard told Dan LeBatard on 790 the Ticket in Miami on Wednesday. “We’re pretty much on the same page as far as what it’s going to take for us to get to the next level and for us to win. I have to bring that energy and effort every night and because I’m in better shape, I’m able to do that for longer periods.”
They don’t have to be friends, but they do have to play well together. They are positioned to be a tough out in the playoffs.
