I understand how the legal system works, to get a better plea deal, you have to plead not guilty at first. It doesn’t matter if everyone knows you are guilty.
The incident happened in broad daylight and everyone saw what Holdsclaw did, if you need a refresher on what happened TMZ has the details.
According to the police report, 35-year-old Holdsclaw attacked Lacy’s car with a baseball bat and then fired a gun inside the vehicle while Lacy sat in the driver’s seat.
Holdsclaw is pleading not guilty to aggravated assault, criminal damage in the first degree, criminal damage in the second degree, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony against her ex-girlfriend Jennifer Lacy.

My question is a simple one. If this was a man, who did this to a woman, would he be free on bail and would he have been charged with attempted murdered?
I will be very curious to see, if the court system is lenient on Holdsclaw because she is a woman.
