FGCU is in the midst of a magical Cinderella run in the March Madness tourney, but the Andy Enfield to a bigger University has begun. Enfield and his wife Amanda have listed their Florida mansion for a relatively low $675,000.
According to GossipExtra.com the house is valued at $750,000 which gives the impression of Enfield wanting to sell quickly. This may not be due to his interest in another school, but it sure can’t make the Athletic Department at FGCU too comfortable.
This run pretty much ensures Enfield a major pay increase and with such a veteran team Enfield may feel that the time is now to jump ship.
Schools such as USC & UCLA look to be perfect fits for Enfield and his system. Where would a coach with a super model wife be more suited for than Los Angeles?
Even his style is built for the glitz and glamor of SoCal. The Dunk City mantra would play well in a large market that already features Lob City. The laid back and fun atmosphere that Enfield creates seems tailored for a larger market. Think of what Pete Carrol was able to do at USC with the talent available in that area and that upbeat approach.
One thing is for sure Andy Enfield’s stock is on the rise and he may never be hotter than he is currently. Enfield at the least will field calls from other Universities and those schools will put the full court press on to sign him.
