Deadspin has some background on our new favorite Villain Marshall Henderson.

Despite having a horrible first half, Henderson led Ole Miss to an upset win over Wisconsin. You can’t be a great villain without an awesome origin story and Henderson definitely has one including this nugget.

As you might imagine, Henderson’s personality has led him on an odd and twisting path through the college basketball landscape. Before graduating from high school, Henderson was arrested and sentenced to 25 days in jail for trying to buy $800 (59 grams) worth of marijuana with counterfeit money.

Where would a high schooler get counterfeit money? This isn’t a Jack Reacher novel, but Henderson continues to write his legend.
