Phil Jackson Typo Filled Tweet Actually a Viral Ad for AOL
We’ve been punked.
Yesterday, Phil Jackson joined twitter and his first tweet was interesting to say the least.
It got the twitterverse buzzing. Was Jackson drunk? Did he suffer a stroke? Are his fingers too fat?
As it turns out, it was a piece of viral marketing from AOL.
Brilliant piece of viral marketing if you ask me, and it sure beats getting a barrage of useless floppy disks every month in the mail.
One caveat though, it is great to get people talking about AOL, but what exactly are they selling? The service? A site? Annoying dial up sounds? Its only good marketing if it actually sells something.
