The New York Knicks announced today that forward Amare Stoudemire will miss approximately 6 weeks with a right knee injury. Per SI.com, Stoudemire will undergo surgery on said knee immediately. It is the same procedure Stoudemire had on the other knee prior to the season that forced him to miss the first 2 months.
A huge blow to the Knicks who were hoping to catch stride with a fully healthy team before the playoffs began. We’ll have to see how they recover but this is a considerable lost, especially when Stoudemire had been playing so well recently.
