According to a report via Yahoo Sports, cornerback Aaron Ross, who played with the Jacksonville Jaguars last season before being cut, will sign with the team he spent the first five years of his career, the New York Giants.
A person with knowledge of the deals says cornerback Aaron Ross and halfback Ryan Torain have agreed to contracts with the New York Giants.
The person spoke on condition of anonymity Tuesday because the Giants haven’t announced the deals.
A first-round pick by New York in 2007, Ross signed with Jacksonville after the Giants won the Super Bowl in February 2012. The 30-year-old was cut by the Jaguars after last season.
Ross had a mixed tenure with the Giants, suffering through injuries and dips in performance but, he also played vital roles in the two Super Bowl winning teams in 2008 and 2012.
