Much has been made about whether or not the Vikings will trade disgruntled wide receiver Percy Harvin. Reports have circulated in regards to whether Harvin will hold-out, or resign with the team that drafted him.
A new report courtesy of Star Tribune columnist Sid Hartman suggest that Harvin wants out of Minnesota, and doesn’t want to play for the Vikings at all.
Sources from around the league are reporting that Harvin has informed the Vikings that he doesn’t want to play for them, and wants to be traded.
Harvin is still signed for one more season, and the Vikings who are $16 million under the salary cap, do have the money to pay Harvin, it’s just about whether or not they want to.
Vikings general manager Rick Spielman has made it clear he won’t trade Harvin, and with the mercurial wide receiver having another year left on his deal, and at least two in which the Vikings can franchise him, it will be interesting to see how this situation plays out.
