Aaron Ross: One Season In Jacksonville Was A “Paid Vacation”

Aaron Ross is back with the New York Giants after spending one season in Jacksonville with the Jaguars. During a visit to NFL AM this morning, Ross compared his stint to a nice “paid vacation.”

“It was a nice paid vacation to Florida,” Ross admitted on “NFL AM” on Friday.

Ross accepted a three-year $15 million dollar deal from the Jaguars last off-season, and it was by far the most lucrative offer he received.

“I had to think about the family, setting us up long-term, so of course the money comes to mind,” Ross said. “But winning is everything, man. It takes the joy away when you’re losing, and the only thing to get you through it is the paycheck when you’re losing.”

Ross likes winning more than anything, so he returned to New York, and is happy to be back home.

“I’m very happy,” he said, “to be back with the Giants.”
