I get what Amare is saying.
He was the Knicks first big free agent signing during The Summer of LeBron, but you could also argue that the Knicks are better when he is not playing, then when he is playing. We also know if the Knicks could do it all over again, they wouldn’t.

So, maybe technically he is correct, but make no mistake he was the Knicks 3rd or 4th choice to the Prom, not the 1st. The 1st plays for the team that if the Knicks make it to the Eastern Conference Finals they will have to dethrone, the Miami Heat.
