I expect this kind of behavior from crazy, misguided, uber-passionate, non-American football fans, not Major League Soccer fans.

According to a story via Deadspin, FC Dallas defender George John, was hit by friendly fire near the end of a hotly contested match up against the defending champions LA Galaxy.

John scored a header that rebounded off the post in the 88th minute and as he made the turn to celebrate what would be the winning goal, a water bottle from the stands socked him in the head, causing him to go down instantly. What’s even more messed up, the culprit was a fan of Dallas. Talk about gratitude.
