We joke around about JR Smith a lot, because he provides us with a lot of material to work with, but he had a better season than I thought he would with the Knicks.

He didn’t get into any trouble and was for the most part a team player. The Knicks wouldn’t be in the position they are in now without him.

He is still JR, so there will be times that he drives Knicks fans crazy with his shot selection and curious decision-making, but if the Knicks want to go deep in the playoffs, they are going to need him to play like the All-Star he claims to be.
