Moments after their shocking NIT loss to Robert Moss, Kentucky guard Archie Goodwin tweeted out that he was returning to school because he wasn’t ready for the draft.
A few weeks have gone by and with the top recruiting class in the past 20 years heading to Lexington, Goodwin has had a change of heart.
CBSSports.com is reporting that Archie Goodwin has decided to turn pro and will enter the 2013 NBA draft.
“This is something I’ve dreamed about my entire life and I feel like the opportunity is there for me to play at the next level,” Goodwin said. “I will stay in Lexington to finish my schoolwork this semester before continuing to pursue my dream.”
Goodwin, an All-SEC freshman shooting guard, led the young Wildcats with 14.1 points per game along with 4.6 rebounds and 2.7 assists.
Goodwin has yet to sign with an agent, and Draft Express has him going in the middle to bottom half of the first round.
