The Patriots are once again trying to prove that they are smarter than everyone else. They signed Danny Amendola and Michael Jenkins a few weeks ago.
They signed Steelers wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders to an offer sheet this morning, and USA Today is reporting that they have agreed on a one year deal with Julian Edelman.
Edelman, 26, played in nine games during the 2012 season, finishing with 21 catches for 235 yards and three touchdowns. He finished the season on injured reserve after suffering a broken foot in a Week 13 matchup against the Dolphins.
Edelman’s strength is his versatility, and that’s all I’d expect from him.
