Ed Reed will go down in history as one of the greatest free safeties to ever play the game. He surely will be a Hall of Famer and have his Ravens jersey retired one day.
His time in Baltimore as a player was coming to an end whether he wanted it to or not. With talk of a October 2012 mutiny attempt hovering around his and Bernard Pollard’s departure, Pro Football Talk via The Baltimore Sun is reporting that Ravens head coach John Harbaugh wanted Ed Reed gone.
Baltimore Sun columnist Mike Preston put it more bluntly when he said “Harbaugh wanted Reed back as much as he wanted a root canal.”
The Ravens, especially Harbaugh are doing an excellent job of not even responding or acknowledging that someone’s feelings were hurt the day after Halloween when Harbaugh, Reed, and Pollard got into some type of altercation or show down over a full padded practice.
