All season long we’ve seen valuable guards fall victim to season ending injuries. While some teams were able to rally together during the regular season without their star player, the playoffs is where you need your key guys in order to make an impact.
The latest player to end their season early due to injury is Russell Westbrook. It was presume he may have a chance at returning sometime during the playoffs, but it has now been confirmed Westbrook will be out for the remainder of the season.
Russell Westbrook underwent knee surgery today and will miss the rest of the playoffs, Thunder announce.

Westbrook is set to have surgery on his knees Saturday. For a guard who has played in 394 consecutive regular-season games this has to be devastating news for him. Can the OKC weather the storm? Only time will tell
Get well soon Westbrook.
