Who would’ve ever the artist formerly known as Ron Artest would be writing children’s books? Well, that’s exactly what his new off-court venture is. The Lakers’ forward has helped pen a 34-page children’s book called Metta’s Bedtime Stories.
According to the publisher the book is dedicated to children, families, and educators.
Metta’s Bedtime Stories was written to help children think about daily events in a positive light. These stories will show everyone that you can always have a better day tomorrow, if you have a hopeful heart and keep positive thoughts.
I’m not sure how good the stories inside of the book are, but if the cover illustration is any indication they may be a little…ummmm…interesting.
A portion of the proceeds from book sales will go to Xcel University, Metta’s foundation which focuses on funding mental health research and awareness programs.
