Thanks to News One, Warrick Dunn got some air time for something other than football.
Dunn has a charity called, Warrick Dunn Charities. His charity helps provide single parents with housing and is partnered with Atlanta’s Habitat for Humanity and Aaron’s, Inc. Dunn has been doing this since 1997.
As a late Mother’s Day gift, Dunn surprised Kimberly Kindel and her three children with their first home along with $5k to help with the down payment. Dunn said helping single mother’s has been therapy for him since losing his own mother in the line of duty when he was just 18 years old.
“Losing my mom at that early age, I knew what her dream was, and to be able to share this moment with another single parent who’s providing, and putting her family in a position to be successful long-term for me is — I can’t truly describe the emotions,” Dunn said.
