Jabrill Peppers, Top CB in 14′ Class, Raps About Commitment to Michigan (Video)
Looks like Urban Meyer isn’t the only coach in the Ohio State-Michigan rivalry who can recruit. Michigan coach Brady Hoke has secured a commitment from New Jersey cornerback Jabrill Peppers, the nation’s second-ranked recruit in the 2014 class according to Rivals.com and ESPN.com.
The 6’1″, 210 pound Peppers has been your typical “touch the ball and score a touchdown” type athlete during his time at Paramus Catholic High School across the river from Manhattan where he plays cornerback and running back.
Now that he is verbally committed to Michigan, his playmaking ability will probably lead to about 1,000 Charles Woodson comparisons between now and when he finally takes the field for Michigan in 2014.
Jokes aside, even though it’s only a verbal commitment that can be broken, Peppers is a huge get for a Wolverines team that will need plenty of elite athletes to keep up with the stable of SEC-caliber athletes that Urban Meyer has been brought to Columbus with his aggressive recruiting efforts in the Southeast
