I’m not going to lie, I really enjoy these video confessionals Jalen Rose does with Grantland. A lot of them lean more to the fictitious side but that’s what good storytellers do, they embellish to make the tale more entertaining.

In this edition, Rose reflects on the time he dunked on an older Michael Jordan, who was playing for the Washington Wizards at the time and had lost a significant portion of his aura of invincibility.

Check the video out here:

H/T to Grantland for the video.

  1. Jalen Lied says:

Everything about the story is practically inaccurate – shame on Jalen Rose for getting upset at Skip Bayless for his tales of inaccuracies about his own basketball ability – Jalen’s best game vs an MJ on the wizards, was a 27 point game, where he played 34 minutes and was ejected in the 4th quarter with 4 minutes and 11 seconds left after a Michael Jordan basketball with 4 min and 16 seconds left. No 30 points, no ejection in the 3rd quarter because of a dunk on MJ, no fact checking by Grantland. http://www.basketball-reference.com/boxscores/pbp/200202030WAS.html – click on play by play
