Jaguars talented 2nd year wide receiver Justin Blackmon has had his issue with drinking and different substance issues going all the way back to Oklahoma State.
Blackmon was even arrested for a DUI a few months after being drafted, and pledged to give up alcohol afterwards.
Recently Blackmon was suspended four games for violating the leagues substance abuse policy.
Blackmon has reported to the Jaguars team OTA’s, and had to answer a few questions in regards to his suspension and penchant for mistakes.
Blackmon told ESPN that “he doesn’t have a substance abuse problem,” but a problem with “making poor decisions.”
“No, I would say I don’t,” he responded. “Out of this whole thing one of the main things I would say that I had a problem with was just making a poor decision, making a selfish decision at that and not thinking about the long-term of it and just thinking about at the time. If you want to ask if I have a problem? I have a problem with making a poor decision.”
Substance abuse problem or problem with poor decisions, Justin Blackmon has a problem and he better fix it, or risk disappearing from the NFL quickly.
