Mario Chalmers Baby Mama Wants More Support Says He’s Hiding Money
Monkey see monkey do. There seems to be a trend brewing up with some of the Miami Heat players. First Chris Bosh home gets burglarized, and next up was Udnios. Then Wade ex-wife decided to take him back to court during the playoffs, and now Mario Chambers finds himself next in line.
According to Gossip Extra, Chambers was given 30 days by a Miami-Dade County family judge to cough up his financial records.
The order came after Chalmers’ longtime college girlfriend Brittany Burrough, reopened a paternity and child support case.
The case was originally closed in 2012, after Chalmers was found to be the father to daughter Queen Elizabeth and agreed to pay Burrough $2,500-a-month in support.
Since then Chalmers has signed a three-year contract extension, resulting in him receiving nearly $4 million a year. Now Burrough is looking to have their previous agreement restructured since there has been a change of income.
“Mr. Chalmers has been a gentleman and has been paying as agreed,” said Burrough’s lawyer, Roger Schindler. “But Mr. Chalmers is also a very talented athlete whose income has substantially grown since that agreement.”
“We’re asking for a modification of the child support agreement to something that’s fair to both parties,” Schindler said
Schindler cited Florida’s legal principle of “good fortune” child support, in which a parent making seven figures could be forced to pay more than the state’s established guidelines.
I hardly ever hear attorneys refer to the defendant with kinds words, but Burrough’s lawyer went so far as to refer to Chalmers as a gentleman so maybe these two are working on reaching a civil agreement.
