NBA Prospect Deshaun Thomas Refuses to Give Teams His Cell Phone Number

NCAA Basketball Tournament - Cincinnati v Ohio State

He’s advisers should all be fired now. If he doesn’t have advisers, he should hire some. When you are a fringe 1st round, likely 2nd round NBA draft prospect and the San Antonio Spurs ask you for your cell phone number, you give it to them, you don’t say this.

Thomas said teams asked him plenty of difficult and interesting questions during his interview process at the combine. But the most interesting, he said, was the fact the Spurs’ first question was for his cell phone number and his e-mail address. He gave them the e-mail, but not the phone number.

“I can’t go around giving it out to everyone,” Thomas said Thursday with a laugh. “Now if they want to draft me, I’d be happy to give it to them.”

He is giving my school The Ohio State University a bad name, that might be the most idiotic answer I have heard from a draft prospect in years.

I think most NBA teams have more things to worry about, than blowing up Thomas’ phone with LOL and Smiley faces. What a stupid thing to do by Thomas.

  1. He just solidified himself as a 2nd round (non-guaranteed contract) pick. He who laughs last…….

  2. he is going to be a problem and he just proved it
    I completely agree.
He just solidified himself as a 2nd round (non-guaranteed contract) pick.More like 4th.
