You watch Alabama head coach Nick Saban enough and you’ll swear all he does is eat, sleep, and live football. Saban surprisingly has a taste for the finer things in life as you can see by this amazing home he’s auctioning off.
According to Business Journal, Saban is auctioning off his lake front property in Clayton, Georgia. It’s currently listed for $10.9 million, but will go to the highest bidder.
The 9,600-square-foot estate at 112 Whipporwill Lane in Clayton, Ga., has six-bedrooms and nine bathrooms. The home sits on a 1.7-acre parcel with more than 700 feet of lake frontage and 270-degree mountain, lake and sunset views. It features a massive grand room with 24-foot vaulted ceiling, wine cellar with antique gate from Barcelona, European-style pub/billiards room, home office, formal and professional kitchens, staff quarters and four-car garage.
Saban released this statement on why he is selling the home.
“My family and I own another home on the lake, which we have enjoyed for 12 years, so I was excited when this very special lot came available to develop with Jim [Suddes],” Saban said in a statement. “Lake Burton is our favorite getaway. It’s a beautiful, hidden gem, where we find great peace and seclusion.”
