This shouldn’t come as much of a shocker, but struggling ace Roy Halladay has finally been placed on the disabled list, with what the Phillies are calling right shoulder inflammation.

The 2 time Cy Young winner was placed on the 15-day disabled list after he gave up a whopping 9 runs to the lifeless Marlins on Sunday.

After the game, Halladay admitted to having pain since April 24. ¬†Halladay has been far from his former ‘unhittable’ self since last season when injury saw his ERA inflate to 4.49. Now, in 7 games started his ERA is 8.65 with 33 earned runs so far this season.

He’s scheduled to see Dr. Lewis Yocum later this week.

Get better doc.
