I feel like this minor beef between Shaquille O’Neal and Kendrick Perkins flew under the radar a bit, but we’re going to do what we can to change that.
Last night on Inside the NBA, one of the guys asked Shaq about a situation with the Oklahoma City Thunder center, to which the former Los Angeles Lakers big man responded by saying they were good. Well according to Dan Favale of Bleacher Report, they were referring to a minor twitter beef between the former Boston Celtics teammates that originated a few nights ago.
Perkins took an unprovoked shot at Shaq on Twitter a few nights ago, when he sent out these tweets.
Do Shack ever stop talking about himself. SMH

My bad Shaq

Well Shaq was made aware of his former teammate’s jab at him, and he went in on Perkins, as he has in the past with numerous other adversaries. First, he made fun of his numbers on Twitter, then he took it to national television the following night.
Wow @kendrickperkins is dominating2 PTs. When he gets 20 and 10 then ill stop talking about myself#worryaboutyourowngameandname

Perkins obviously hasn’t been paying attention to Shaq’s beef in the past, because they all basically play out the same way. Someone offends the big man and then he responds in unrelenting fashion until he feels satisfied. Rarely does he not get the last shot in, so it’s probably best that Perkins hasn’t responded, just let him focus his attention back on Jose Canseco.
