I think everyone outside of Indiana and Atlanta (well maybe not Atlanta) can agree that they can find about a million better things to do besides watching the playoff series between the Pacers and the Hawks.
It’s the least talked about series simply because both teams lack a box office type player and they play hideous basketball. The series is so bad that Inside the NBA literally fast forwarded through the highlights of the game a few nights ago.
Well according to the Express-News, fans aren’t the only ones who think the series is unwatchable. San Antonio Spurs point guard Tony Parker, whose team is waiting to find out who their second-round opponent will be after sweeping the Los Angeles Lakers, says he likes watching every other series but that one.
“I watch every game,” he said. “I’m a student of the game. I love watching the games. The playoffs, all the games are really good. You can always learn something.”
Even Atlanta-Indiana, widely regarded as the dud of the first round?
“Except that one,” he joked. “I turned that off.”
