I tend to agree with this, because once you give the player that type of leverage, they pretty much own you for the length of their contract.
With that being said, there is nothing that can be done about it. If CP3 let’s it be known that he doesn’t want Vinny Del Negro back, what can the Clippers do? Unless you are someone like Phil Jackson, the player is always worth more than the coach.
That’s why Del Negro is out of a job now.
