The Golden State Warriors have what many consider to be the best fan base in the NBA, and it seems like the organization is ready to reward them with an arena worthy of that status.
In a story via Mike Foss of USA Today Sports, the Warriors revealed the first conceptual designs for a new arena that is supposed to be ready for the 2017 season. The arena would be 728,ooo square feet, and will also include a practice facility and team offices. The seating capacity will be less at 17,500 down from Oracle Arena’s 19,596.
The designs are really amazing, and if the Warriors keep playing their fast-paced, aesthetically pleasing brand of basketball, I’m moving to Golden State.
