Members of the Westboro Baptist Church from Topeka Kansas demonstrate against homosexuality

Westboro Baptist Church is located in Topeka, Kansas, and is a fringe Baptist church known for its ideologies and hate of gay people.

If you go to the Church’s website, the link for the church is godhatesfags.com.  The church known to many as a hate group in disguise, has labeled President Obama the antichrist, and recently picketed in Boston after the bombings, claiming that it was gods work against gay people.

In light of Jason Collins coming out to Sports Illustrated as a homosexual man, Westboro Baptist now plans to protest at least two NBA Playoff games, starting with Tonight’s Oklahoma City Thunder vs Houston Rockets game at Chesapeake Energy Arena according to the Church’s press release.

They will not stop there either, according to Yahoo Sports, they refer to Collins as a “has-been pervert” and “filthy beast.”

They are calling on Thunder superstar Kevin Durant to “lift up his voice against this awful sin; use the platform God gave him to warn his fellow-man to flee destruction”.

Westboro Baptist has also created the worst hashtag in history. The group will try to get the phrase , #GodH8sTheNBA, to trend over the next few days.
