Washington Redskins outside linebacker Brian Orakpo’s 2012 season ended in week two against the rams when he tore his pectoral muscle against the St. Louis Rams.
Orakpo thinks he’ll be back better than ever, and told USA Today that he thinks “being defensive player of the year next season is very obtainable.”
“Defensive Player of the Year is a goal of mine,” Orakpo told USA Today. “I worked extremely hard this offseason and Defensive Player of the Year is very obtainable.”
Orakpo has amassed 28.5 sacks during his first three seasons, and if he can stay healthy and provide a nice double figures sack season, he can definitely can get some votes.
