New York Knicks star forward Carmelo Anthony is trying his hand at a lot of things, and you can now add art collector to his repertoire.
Anthony bought a Muhammad Ali painting at the Gordon Parks Foundation Awards dinner and auction for $27,000.
“I am big into the art world,” Anthony told The New York Post. “I am still learning, I’ve bought a lot of different artists. As far as collecting just one, I am trying to take my time and get some art I feel genuine towards.”
The silver print by Parks, entitled “Muhammad Ali in Training, Miami, Florida, 1966.” was recently featured at the Jackson Fine Art gallery website.
