Cowboys Have No Immediate Plans To Release Josh Brent
You can call Jerry Jones a lot of things, but I’m not sure you can refer to him as disloyal or unforgiving. ESPN Dallas is reporting that even after failing his second drug test, the Cowboys have no immediate plans of releasing Josh Brent.
Josh Brent failed a second drug test and was sent back to jail on Thursday. A Dallas County judge deemed Brent’s bond “insufficient,” according to the DA.
Brent was sent back to jail after the DA filed a motion on Tuesday asking a judge to revoke Brent’s bond because it was learned that he failed a drug test taken on June 19.
Brent was of course out on bail after being charged with intoxication manslaughter resulting in the death last year of best friend and teammate, Jerry Brown.
Cowboys executive vice president Stephen Jones said the team would have no comment.Powered by Sidelines
