According to a eery story via NESN, former MLB pitcher Kerry Woods, found a dead body while going for a swim on Monday morning.
Wood was paddle boarding in Belmont Harbor in Chicago when he discovered a man’s body floating in the water, according to the Chicago Tribune. Wood immediately notified police of the incident.
The victim had an identification tag on his left wrist indicating that the man had been reporting missing by a North Side nursing home after being released by a local hospital on June 19, according to the police report. An autopsy conducted on Monday was inconclusive, according to Chicago police.
Woods, who retired last year and is now a spring instructor with the Chicago Cubs, said he has no comment.
