I’ve seen a lot of own goals in my time and for the most part they’re all quite hilarious but somehow this one takes the cake.

During a Serie D (Italian Soccer League) game between Delta Porto Tolle and Ischia recently, mother nature made her presence felt, maybe she had some money on the game.

The Porto Tolle goalkeeper tried to make a clearance into what turned out to be a really strong gust of wind, the ball hung up in the air for a few seconds then came back towards the goal, eluded defenders and bounced over the head of the sprawling goalie and into the net.
