Miami Teen Brandon Reid Shot by Stray Bullet Following Heat Championship

LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, & The Miami Heat celebrate NBA Championship at STORY Night Club

When will people learn that a bullet fired into the air eventually comes back down, and when it does it can cause damage to property, injure, or in the worst cases, kill people?

According to NBC6 in Miami, sometime after the Miami Heat’s Game 7 Victory against the San Antonio Spurs, 14 year old Brandon Reid of Miramar was struck in the neck by a bullet that came through the top of the sliding glass door of his family’s second story apartment. His stepfather said the doctors were able to completely remove the bullet and that the young man is expected to make a full recovery.

Miami fans get a lot of crap for the Hispanic tradition of banging pots and pans in celebration, but that is a much safer alternative than what happened to this kid.
