Aaron Hernandez Struggle Face

It took less than a hour from the time Hernandez was taken away in handcuffs for the Patriots to wash their hands of them. So much for innocent until proven guilty.

The next step will be for Patriots to go after Hernandez’s signing bonus, which I suspect they have already started the process of that.

Here is the statement from Patriots.

“A young man was murdered last week and we extend our sympathies to the family and friends who mourn his loss. Words cannot express the disappointment we feel knowing that one of our players was arrested as a result of this investigation. We realize that law enforcement investigations into this matter are ongoing. We support their efforts and respect the process. At this time, we believe this transaction is simply the right thing to do.”

16mil guaranteed should mean just that regardless. Pats tried to sign him early before he was worth more. They should have to eat that 16mil.
