Indiana Pacers assistant coach Brian Shaw has been thought to be a potential head coaching option in the NBA for some time now. If you remember, Shaw was thought to be the successor to Phil Jackson in Los Angeles for the Lakers once he retired, but was passed over for Mike Brown initially and Mike D’Antoni once the team fired Brown.
Shaw’s time could finally be coming as Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports is reporting that Shaw is at the top of the list of potential candidates for the Brooklyn Nets as they search for their next head coach.
For Brooklyn, Lionel Hollins and Indiana assistant Brian Shaw are primary focuses of search, sources tell Y! Shaw could be strongest.

The interesting thing though is the fact that if the Pacers win Game 7 tonight, the Nets will have a very long wait until they can finally contact Shaw.
