The Coloroda Rockies received some devastating news last night, when MRI results revealed that their All-Star but 0ft-injured shortstop Troy Tulowitzki, has a broken rib.
Tulowitzki, who has a batting average of .347 and 16 home runs, got the injury while trying to make a play during a game against the Washington Nationals on Thursday, and will be sidelined for 4-6 weeks.
“I’m just really upset, I worked so hard (to get back),” Tulowitzki said in a text message to the Denver Post. “I’m in a lot of pain right now; I’m not sure how long (I’ll be out).
“It’s just an unfortunate thing that happened. I will be back and be even better.”
The Rockies also lost outfielders Carlos Gonzalez and Dexter Fowler to less-serious injuries in the same game.
