The Cleveland Cavaliers have the #1 pick in Thursday’s NBA Draft and badly want to add pieces around Kyrie Irving.
Andy Katz is reporting that Minnesota Timberwolves turned down an offer from the Cavaliers that would have sent them the #1 pick, guard Dion Waiters, and forward Tristan Thompson for T-Wolves star forward Kevin Love.
According to @ESPNAndyKatz, the Cavs offered Minnesota the first pick, Dion Waiters and Tristan Thompson for Kevin Love. T-Wolves declined.

The Wolves and new team president Flip Saunders prefer to build around Love.
Katz reports that the Cavs love Waiters of course, but can’t pass up the chance to add Love.
