Another one of Michael Strahan’s former teammates has come to his defense after Warren Sapp said his former teammate Simeon Rice was a better pass-rusher.
Earlier we reported that New York Giants defensive end Justin Tuck, responded to Sapp’s criticism of his former teammate, by boldly stating that Strahan was the best pass-rusher ever.
Well according to a story via Ohm Youngmisuk of ESPN, former Giants running back Tiki Barber, went even further and called Sapp “an idiot” for making such a claim.
“Warren’s an idiot,” Barber said at the Big Daddy Celebrity Golf Classic at Oheka Castle on Monday. “He just wants to say things to be idiotic. I played with Stray for my whole career. He is the greatest of the great. He is a great teammate, he kept things light, but on game day he was as serious as a heart attack and it showed in his play.”
“Warren doesn’t know, never played with him,” Barber said. “I don’t put any credence in his opinion.”
“I hope Stray doesn’t let it bother him,” Barber added. “I don’t think it does.”
Don’t know why Sapp always goes out his way to bash and belittle Strahan, sounds a bit envious if you ask me. Maybe he wants to work for Fox and host a very popular morning show with Kelly Ripa.
