Here we go again.
Alex Rodriguez has come out of ‘hiding’ and his first stop was to WFAN where he was interviewed by Mike Francesa.
Rodriguez called into the afternoon show to tell the world he’s ready and willing to play ASAP and that the only thing stopping him are the Yankees. Arod had a conference call with Yankees management on Thursday, and they agreed to a plan which would have Arod play in a simulated minor league game on Aug. 1 and then come off the DL a day or two after.
Rodriguez reluctantly agreed to the plan–preferring to start right away. Then when asked whether or not he still trusts the Yankees he replied “I’d rather not get into that.”
This all comes in light of reports that the Yankees will punish Arod for seeking an unauthorized second option on his ‘quad strain’. The severed relationship between the franchise and the disgraced 3rd basemen just got more agitated.
Believe it or not, this is only just the beginning of the Arod vs Yankees saga…
