You might have gotten better odds on Buster Douglas beating Mike Tyson than Bynum playing a full 82 games with the Cavs. But, since Douglas did beat Tyson, you can never say never.
The Cavaliers introduced Bynum to the media (no fro, sorry guys) and here is what the big man had to say about his past and his future.
“I want to play a full season,” Bynum said. “There is no doubt in my mind that I can do that. Yes, I’m going to be ready. That is the plan. As long as I stick to it, I really believe that I have a great chance with this organization.”
Bynum has put on some weight, he says he is currently 305, but wants to get down to 280. The incentive for him to play as many games as possible is a monetary one, so don’t expect him to just relax on the bench and collect checks like he did in Philly.
