The Andrew Wiggins sweepstakes have begun, and there are close to 8 teams vying to be bad enough to have a shot at selecting Wiggins #1 in the 2014 NBA Draft.
The Canadian born Wiggins is quiet, loyal to his country, and wants to be a trend setter. During a recent interview with the Toronto Sun, Wiggins also admitted he wants to play for the Toronto Raptors.
After winning the Gatorade High School Athlete of the Year Award Tuesday, Wiggins told esnewsreporting.com he wants to win a national championship at Kansas, would love to playKobe Bryant one-on-one and considers Michael Jordan the greatest ever, before talk turned to his preferred NBA home.
“I would like to say the Raptors, I want to play for them,” said Wiggins, who has been spotted many times sporting a Raptors cap.
Imagine the most talented phenom since LeBron James admitting that he wants to play for his hometown team, and they are not the Lakers, Knicks or Bulls.
