Blake Griffin has heard the claims from critics, pundits, experts, and Zach Randolph questioning his toughness, and calling him soft.
The verbal lashing that probably broke the camels back was when Chauncey Billups basically did everything, but call Griffin soft, proclaiming that Blake is just to nice.
Blake has heard enough, and according to ESPN L.A., says he will prove he’s not soft.
“I’ve never really worried about being called soft or people thinking I’m soft,” the Los Angeles Clippers‘ star power forward said. “If anybody wants to step and take that challenge I’m more than happy — off the court — because I don’t want to get suspended. It’s not something that I dwell on. I’ve never really had a problem with being soft.”
Griffin will have to show up. and play big against some of the more rugged competition if he wants to dispel that theory. This season with Doc Rivers will definitely tell if Blake is weak sauce or not.
