The Canadian Football League plays on a bigger field, and that’s suppose to help cut down on the injuries. Saturday during the Saskatchewan vs Edmonton ball game, Saskatchewan safety Diamond Ferri picked off Edmonton QB Mike Reilly.
Ferri eluded a few defenders, and it seemed like he might have had a clear path down the sideline, until 6-foot-11 Edmonton offensive tackle Matt O’Donnell comes out of no where and blasted Ferri.
Ferri left the game and didn’t return.
O’Donnell reportedly once got a tryout with the Celtics in 2011, despite the fact that he had never played organized basketball.
