Chris Johnson, Devin Hester Race A Cheetah On TV

Titans running back Chris Johnson has no problem proclaiming himself the fastest man in the NFL.

Johnson and Bears wide receiver Devin Hester both had the opportunity to see how fast they really were, when they both took time out of their schedules to race an animal.

The Wrap is reporting that the two NFL stars took part in  a race against a cheetah on a show appropriately named Man vs. Cheetah, set to air in November on the cable channel Nat Geo Wild.

This is most incredible challenge I’ve ever faced,” Johnson said, via “I wanted to go up against the fastest in the world and test myself, and this was it!”

“The whole idea of racing next to a cheetah for Nat Geo Wild was a very unusual proposition,” said Hester of the Chicago Bears. “But it was something I was ready to take on to see if I could get an edge on.”

Nat Geo Wild Executive V.P. Geoff Daniels said he’s eager to show viewers what it looks like when the world’s fastest land animal runs alongside fast human beings.

“We loved the idea of a face-off like no other between supreme athletes and an alpha predator,” Daniels said. “This isn’t sports, it’s amazing science.”

I like the idea of amazing science, but please keep it on the other side of the fence.
