Kentucky’s loss is Gonzaga’s gain.
In a move that should bolster both program’s roster, and play out beautiful for Gonzaga, Kyle Wiltjer has formally announced that he is on his way to Spokane, after transferring to the Bulldogs.
ESPN is reporting that 6-foot-10 forward will sit out the 2013 season for the Gonzaga, then make is debut in 2014-15. Wiltjer averaged 10 points per game in Kentucky last season, but felt it better for his career to transfer in light of the loaded Wildcats freshman class heading to Lexington.
The former McDonald’s All American will now have the opportunity to flourish in Mark Few’s system for two seasons.
