When Oklahoma City Thunder forward Kevin Durant inked a deal with Jay-Z’s Roc Nation Sports agency, there was some speculation that perhaps this meant Durant would be moving to a bigger market or another team. Durant isn’t scheduled to be a free agent until 2016, and he actually elaborated on his reasoning for signing with Jay-Z.
But, per RealGM, Durant felt the need to address the move again. This time making it clear that his new business relationship with Hov has nothing to do with his future with the Thunder.
“He has nothing to do with if I’m going to leave OKC or none of that,” Durant said. “I heard that before so put that out on the table. He has nothing to do with that. He knows his lane with me. Their team knows their lane with me. And they’re letting me handle the basketball part. I would tell fans not to worry about that at all.”
