Georgia head football coach Mark Richt has seen some pretty good football players in his day, so he should know something about talent.
Richt raised a few eyebrows during a UGA Day fan event when he was asked who would be harder to prepare for, Johnny Manziel, or Jadeveon Clowney?
Both are formidable, and difficult to prepare for, but Richt chose Manziel.
“I would think it would be tougher to gameplan Johnny Manziel,” Richt said.
According to Gentry Estes of Dawgs 24/7, Richt then gave Clowney the highest of praise, when he did everything but say Clowney was the best player on the planet.
“I would say Clowney is the best football player in the world though. Seriously. I think he might be the very best player who exists today, at any level.”
That’s huge praise for Jadeveon Clowney.
Richt is essentially calling him a better player right now, than say DeMarcus Ware or J.J. Watt.
Oh yea, Georgia host South Carolina in a huge SEC contest September 7.
